Research

The research of the TPRN focuses on the following themes:

1. Hydrological processes and freshwater availability
2. Permafrost thaw and ecosystem change
3. Carbon flux and atmospheric monitoring

 To address these research themes a network of existing permanent sample plots and research sites are being utilized (Figure 1). These sites include National Forest Inventory Plots (dots) and field sites at Havikpak and Trail Valley, NWT.
